This is an entry level position reporting to the Payroll Manager. The Payroll Accountant will require strong analytical skills, good business acumen, and a sound understanding of fundamental accounting processes and standards. Since the role will involve interaction with finance and business teams throughout the Company, good communication skills are essential.
Payroll is processed on a bi-weekly and semi-monthly basis in multiple states, and this person will perform a variety of technical tasks including data analysis and support of the Payroll Team.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing payroll & equity related journal entries
- Prepare pro-active flux analysis for Financial Planning & Analysis for monthly & quarterly close
- Research and respond to questions from the FP&A and G/L teams
- Prepare quarterly accruals for short term incentive and sales incentives plans
- Prepare quarterly PTO accruals
- Prepare audit requests for External Auditors
- Assist in payroll related implementations and upgrades (audit, user acceptance testing, documentation, etc.)
- Payroll processing support utilizing ADP payroll software
- Serve as backup to Senior Payroll Administrator
- Audit payroll related data
- Review and record stock exercises in ADP
- Prepare various ad hoc analyses as needed
- Special Projects as required

Minimum Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related major
- At least 6 months related payroll and/or accounting experience, generally gained through internship(s), in a large customer-oriented corporate
- Advanced Excel modeling including macros, lookup functions, pivot tables, and auditing formulas
