LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer was in the audience Wednesday for President Obama's gun control announcement.
Fischer was already in the Washington D.C. for a meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors when he was invited to the White House to listen to the President's proposal.
While Fischer is a strong supporter of the second amendment, he said this debate is, "Critical to our violence prevention work in Louisville as well as a common-sense element of our compassionate city."
